University of Bridgeport Finance Program Earns Prestigious CFA Affiliation
Bridgeport, CT (11/21/2023) — University of Bridgeport is delighted to announce that its undergraduate Finance program has been welcomed into the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Institute University Affiliation program. The Bachelor of Science in Finance degree has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct within the program. This recognition underscores the program's commitment to providing high-quality education in finance and investment management.
To be awarded CFA affiliation, a university program must demonstrate adherence to standards set by the CFA Institute and must uphold industry best practices in the field of finance. This designation highlights the UB faculty's dedication to equipping students with a solid foundation in finance as well as hands-on experiential learning exercises that prepare them for successful careers in the financial sector. Through participation in this program, UB is eligible to receive a limited number of CFA Program Student Scholarships each year.
