Media Alert: University of Bridgeport Announces Appointment of New Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance
Bridgeport, CT (06/24/2025) — University of Bridgeport (UB) is pleased to announce that Malhar Sharma will be the institution's new chief financial officer and vice president of finance.
Sharma brings more than 17 years of experience at UB to this leadership role. He holds two master's degrees from the University - an MBA in Accounting and Finance and an MS in Technology Management- as well as a bachelor's degree from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in Surat, India.
"Malhar brings a rare combination of institutional knowledge, financial expertise, and heartfelt commitment to the UB community. I am thrilled to have him join our senior leadership team," shared President Danielle Wilken, Ed.D.
Throughout his UB career, Sharma has served as a senior accountant, controller, and, most recently, as assistant vice president of finance and controller, playing a pivotal role in the successful merger with Goodwin University. He lives in Bridgeport with his wife and two daughters.
